Fintech Application Development & Optimization 
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services.
• Implement robust APIs for seamless integration with third-party financial platforms.
• Develop microservices to enhance system modularity and flexibility
• Optimize performance to ensure fast and efficient execution.

Automation & Financial Workflow Management
• Automate the processing of transactions and KYC (Know Your Customer) validations
• Establish automated workflows for payments, loans, and cash flow management
• Integrate fraud detection and risk assessment algorithms to enhance security.

Security & Compliance
• Ensure financial data security and compliance with industry regulations
• Implement authentication and encryption protocols to protect transactions
• Work closely with the compliance team to maintain regulatory adherence.

Collaboration & Technical Integration
• Work alongside product, AI, and DevOps teams to build innovative solutions
• Participate in code reviews and apply best development practices
• Integrate external fintech solutions to expand system capabilities.

Database Management & Financial Data Processing
• Design and optimize SQL databases tailored for financial workflows
• Develop real-time data processing and analytics pipelines
• Leverage financial data to improve predictions and recommendations.

Deployment & Maintenance
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Docker and CI/CD.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary fixes
• Develop unit and functional tests to ensure code reliability. 

The perfect fit

• Proven experience in backend development using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Strong database expertise in SQL (primarily PostgreSQL).

• Hands-on experience with REST. APIs for seamless financial service integration.

• Solid understanding of security and compliance (SOC2, encryption, authentication).

• Ability to optimize data processing and manage financial workflows efficiently.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Strong collaboration mindset, working effectively with product, AI, and DevOps teams.
• A passion for fintech and cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation forward.
• Knowledge with modern frontend tooling (JavaScript, CSS, Webpack, HTMX).

• Familiarity with Cloud and DevOps, including AWS, Terraform, AWS ECS, Docker, and CI/CD, is beneficial but not mandatory.

• 3 to 5 years of experience* in backend development with Python in a tech or fintech environment.
• Experience in designing and optimizing robust, scalable, and secure backend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of best development practices, including unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and documentation.
• Experience with APIs, databases (REST, SQL, Docker).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS) would be an advantage.
